So this was my second weekly beat made on stream on twitch, which has been fun. This is also sort of another foray into generative, though barely. I was talking with damifortune about how you can make generative stuff using m8, and it inspired me to utilize a bit of it, but what ended up happening was me pulling up the chord "scales" from an earlier track, and running some seeded RANs until I found a progression I liked, then manually built a melody on top, then repeated that strategy for the B section. I decided to make all the sounds "from scratch" this time, so no samples, and I also used twin peaks noise for the melody in the A, resulting in a pretty metroid prime vibe. haha
